China's weather service has warned that another typhoon is expected to land in the southern province of Guangdong on Tuesday.
The National Meteorological Center said Nida was detected in the South China Seas about 500 kilometers off the coast from the Philippine capital Manila. It will be the country's fourth typhoon this year.
The NMC said wind speeds could reach 45 meters per second when the typhoon lands. The weather service also warned of torrential rain and mountain floods following Nida's landfall.
