Full coverage: THAAD Deployment in South Korea

South Korean President Park Geun-hye has said the deployment of the THAAD missile defense system in the country was 'inevitable' because of what she said as a 'growing threat' from the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

Park said Pyongyang could stage an act of aggression at any time, including a fifth nuclear test or a cyber attack. Park said the government will take measures to protect the country from threats. She also ordered the military to be ready to retaliate against any provocation from the DPRK.
