Work safety mismanagement caused Shenzhen landslide

China's State Council has released an investigative report into a deadly landslide that occurred in Shenzhen last year. On December 20th, 2015, a mountain of construction waste collapsed onto an industrial park in the southern Chinese city.

The report confirms that the incident occurred as a result of an ineffective drainage system and poor work safety management. 73 people died in the landslide. 17 more were injured. And 4 people remain unaccounted for. According to the report, the landslide caused over 800 millon yuan in economic damages.
