More than 200 Chinese companies are participating in the 3rd China-Russia Expo in the Russian city of Yekaterinburg. In Russia, 'made in China' means more than just Chinese-produced goods. It also means advanced technology and high-quality products.
More than 200 Chinese companies are showcasing such products as high speed rail technology, automobiles, unmanned aerial vehicles and traditional Chinese medicine. The high-speed railway between Moscow and Kazan is a highlight among the projects on display.
"The high speed railway connecting Moscow and Kazan is designed by China. We have submitted part of the blueprint, and will deliver all of the design documents by the end of August," said Lu Bo, China Railway Group Ltd.
"The railway is not only a Russian line, but part of the China-Russia line. The railway connecting Moscow and Kazan and China has a key meaning to the construction of the Silk Road initiative."
Russian officials say the One Belt One Road initiative will bring more opportunities for cooperation between China and Russia.
"We have underestimated the cooperation potential between the two countries. The cooperating opportunities are far more than the current level," said Denis Manturov, Russian Minister of Trade And Industry.
"As for the expectations from President Putin and President Xi, it's well possible to realize the target of reaching a total trade volume of 100 billion US dollars between the two countries."
Participant in the expo will hold a series of meetings and seminars on e-commerce and innovation and technology cooperation.
