Osborne: Brexit vote would trigger spending cuts, tax hikes

Britain's Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne, who is on the stay side, announced that the country is going to face a "Brexit budget" of tax hikes and spending cuts to restore economic stability.

The chancellor warned that leaving the EU would create a 30 pound billion hole in national finances. In response, the basic rate of income tax would be raised by 10%.
