China's weather authority is advising the public to prepare for storms and rain-related disasters like flash floods and landslides. The National Meteorological Center has re-issued blue alerts of storms across China -- and they will be effective until Tuesday morning.
It said regions in southern China -- including Hunan, Fujian, Guangxi and Guangdong -- will experience rainstorms, with hourly precipitation likely to reach as much 20 to 60 milli-meters.
Meanwhile, northern areas like Beijing, Tianjin, and Shandong and Shanxi provinces will have thunderstorms or hailstorms by early Tuesday morning. The weather authority also suggests limiting outdoor activities.
