Bombardments continue in Aleppo in the north of Syria, with nearly 30 air strikes reported in rebel-held areas of the city on Saturday. Nearly 250 people are said to have been killed by government and rebel forces in the last nine days.
The divided city of Aleppo is excluded from a ceasefire declared by the government on Friday. All sides have accused each other of violating the truce that was agreed in February.
Russia has rejected US calls to put pressure on the government to stop aerial attacks in Aleppo. Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov said the situation in Aleppo was part of a fight against a terrorist threat.
