US President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle have met with British royalty at Kensington Palace in London.
The Obamas were greeted by Prince William, his wife Kate and his brother Prince Harry, before they all had dinner together. William and Kate's eldest child, the young Prince George, was also allowed to stay up later than usual to meet the visitors. Prior to the Kensington visit, the Obamas flew to Queen Elizabeth's castle in Windsor to wish her a happy 90th birthday.
Obama said he had offered his own personal congratulations. He presented the queen with a photo album chronicling her visits to the United States and previous presidential meetings, beginning in 1951 when she met President Harry Truman.
