Golden State Warriors, the defending champs, needed five wins in their last five contests to eclipse the Bulls record of 72 victories.
And today's game looked to be the easiest left on the schedule, as they were hosting the lowly Minnesota Timberwolves, a team with just 25 wins all year, The Dubs almost had that many before their suffered their first loss.
But the T-wolves would prove fiesty and upset G-state 124-117 in overtime. Shubaaz Muhammed led the way for 35 points for the winners. The Warriors must now win their last 4-games to break the wins record.
Minnesota 124 - Golden State 117
Bryant scores 6 points in final game against City rivals
Kobe Bryant playing his final game against the cross-town Clippers, and he got a nice ovation before the game.
Things though, not so nice during the game, as the Clipps scoring 20 of the first 22 points to take a massive lead.
The Black Mamba would not have a great night shooting -- his first field goal coming with 10 minutes gone in the second half.
In fact Kobayashi would only scoring two field goals, the second coming on this reverse, as the Lakers trail by 8 at the break.
The Clipps take over in the third, going on a 19-3 run to start to pull away -- Chris Paul nails the jumper, he had a game high 25.
They and the Clips would start to pull away -- De Andre Jordan getting the cram off the lob, as they are up 24.
There was no need for Kobe to play in the fourth -- as the Clips won this handily.
But Bryant would get a nice ovation from the opposition crowd and gets a nice hug from Paul -- as he says good bye the Clippers fans one last time.
