In the NBA, the Oklahoma City Thunder traveled to face the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday night with one eye already on the play-offs.

OKC are looking pretty comfortable in third place in the Western Conference and that prompted coach Billy Donovan to rest some key players as Kevin Durant and Serge Ibaka were both given the night off, and Marcus Morris and the Pistons would make the most of their abscence.

Detroit looking good in the early stages as Tobias Harris sets up from the land beyond and drains the three and the Pistons are up by four.

Russell Westbrook needs one more triple-double to tie Magic Johnson for the most in one season with 17. He gets the hoop and the harm, but OKC still trail.

In the third quarter, Reggie Jackson picks out Andre Drummond for an alley-oop lay-up of sorts to increase the visitors advantage to 58-51. The 22-year-old would finish with 13 points and 15 rebounds.

Marcus Morris gets in on the act to open up a 13 point lead with this baseline jumper.

But the home side claw back in the 4th and manage to make it a 1 point game thanks to this triple from Enes Kanter.

Morris has other ideas and shows great athleticism to put Detroit back up 77-74. The 26-year-old would have 24 points and 7 rebounds.

The Thunder refuse to lie down and when Westbrook bags this three-pointer, he sets up a tense finish.

However, Jackson is able to cut through the Oklahoma defence to slam home and make it 82-77 Pistons and they would take it 88-82.
