President Xi Jinping has also held meetings with leaders of the US, South Korea, and Denmark on the sidelines of the summit. Xi told US President Barack Obama that he hopes the US will keep its promise to maintain a neutral stance on South China Sea issues, and start to play a more constructive role in the region.

The two presidents said they would sign the Paris climate change agreement later this month. in President Xi called for deeper financial cooperation with South Korea, and applauded the construction of the China-ROK Industrial Park.

Xi also welcomed Danish cooperation in the fields of low-carbon, green economic development, medicine, and food -- and called for both nations to work towards further developing a comprehensive strategic partnership.
