Xi Jinping also attended a welcome banquet hosted by Barack Obama at the While House for all the attendees.

In his address, Xi Jinping spoke of the positive role the Summit has played in improving nuclear safety, and world peace. He stressed that the risks of terrorists getting their hands on nuclear materials are increasing, and all countries and international organizations should cooperate to fight terrorism.

Xi Jinping said China is looking forward to participating in discussions with all parties about how to make nuclear power safer.
