Alive 大家都知道是活着的，活潑的。這首歌翻譯成“我還活着”顯然是和歌詞有些不搭調的，所以我們把它翻譯成《我活力四射》。讓我們看看歌詞。有一句是這樣的，When you bless the day, I just drift away.當你祈禱那一天時，我便慢慢地走開。這裡有個詞組drift away, drift就是沖洗，漂流的意思。drift away是漸漸離開的意思。

　　這首歌是一部電影的主題歌，這部電影就是《精靈鼠小弟》Stuart Little，是一部有關小老鼠的電影。在今天的節目當中我們就來講一講老鼠，mouse.

　　《精靈鼠小弟》講的是一個人類家庭從孤兒院認養一隻白老鼠，名叫Stuart Little，把他當作小兒子的弟弟。這只白老鼠可愛、聰明。但是他進入人類家庭，受到小兒子和家貓的排擠，甚至還被附近的野貓追殺。

　　Stuart Little

　　Mr. and Mrs. Little decide to adopt a brother for their son George. When they go to an orphanage, a mouse named Stuart catches their eye. They decide to adopt him.

　　As soon as Stuart joins the family, he is nearly eaten by the pet cat, Snowbell. George is disappointed and at first does not welcome his new brother.

　　A wild cat, a friend of Snowbell’s, notices Stuart, and he ridicules Snowbell for having a mouse as his "master".

　　In order to get away from Snowbell’s attack, Stuart escapes into George’s room. Stuart learns that, because of his fear of failure, George refuses to take part in the remote-control sailboat competition. Stuart encourages George and persuades him not to give up.

　　Just before the competition, George’s remote control is broken by accident, which leaves George very upset. Stuart decides to pilot the sailboat himself.

　　After overcoming the toughest competitor, Stuart wins the competition, and George becomes willing to accept Stuart as his new brother.

　　But suddenly Stuart’s real parents show up, and demand to take Stuart away, which makes Stuart and the Littles all feel sad.

　　But a few days later, Mr. and Mrs. Little discover that Stuart’s real parents actually died three years earlier, and they then realize that this must be a trick.

　　Actually, this is all a plot cooked up by the pet cat, Snowbell. He has rounded up all the wild cats to plot against Stuart. Now that their plot has been uncovered, the wild cats decide to kill Stuart.

　　Stuart’s fake parents can no longer bear the guilt of their bad deeds, so they confess the truth to Stuart, and urge him to run away.

　　But those mean wild cats are not going to let Stuart go back home so easily.

　　After escaping from the wild cats, Stuart returns home, but everyone has gone out to find Stuart ? everyone except Snowbell.

　　The cruel Snowbell lies to Stuart, telling him that the family doesn’t love him. This makes Stuart very sad, and he leaves home.

　　The wild cats continue to chase Stuart. Suddenly Snowbell feels guilty for the way he has treated Stuart, and decides to save him.

　　Stuart and Snowbell team to defeat the wild cats, and finally return safely home together.

　　《捕鼠記》Mouse Hunt這部電影講的是：一對兄弟發現他們的遺産是一棟又破又舊、毫無價值的房子。不過這棟建築是一件價值幾百萬的建築美學上的傑作。於是他們打算將這房産變賣。但這時房子裏出現了一隻小老鼠。為了捉住這只老鼠，兄弟倆和老鼠展開了一場又一場鬥爭

　　Mouse Hunt

　　When their father dies, Ernie and Lars inherit an old house along with the family string factory.

　　Ernie runs a five-star restaurant, but when a man dies while eating there, he is suddenly out of a job.

　　Lars, the loyal son, refuses to sell the factory.

　　With no other place to go, the brothers move into the old house.

　　Suddenly realizing that the house is worth a fortune, the brothers decide to fix up the place and sell it in an auction.

　　But suddenly they discover there is mouse in the house. At first they pay no attention to it, but soon the mouse begins to give them all sorts of trouble.

　　They decide to catch the mouse. First, they try a mouse trap, but the clever mouse easily avoids it.

　　Next, the brothers bring in a wild cat to do the job, but even it fails to capture the pesky mouse.

　　Then they hire an exterminator to do the job, but the poor exterminator nearly dies in the attempt.

　　Ernie and Lars continue to do everything they can to get rid of the mouse before the auction, but nothing works. Then, quite by accident, Lars hits the mouse with an orange, knocking it out. At last they have the opportunity to kill it, but they can’t bring themselves to beat the mouse to death. And so they mail the mouse overseas.

　　The day of the auction comes. But it seems the postage on the package was insufficient, causing the post office to return it to the house. And now the annoying mouse begins to cause chaos at the auction.

　　Just as the bidding on the house reaches the highest price, the house falls down.

　　The brothers have no choice but to move to the string factory, but the mouse follows them there, as well. The mouse begins to operate the string-making machine, but the material he uses is cheese, which produces a ball of string cheese.

　　Taking the mouse’s hint, the brothers decide to turn the factory into a string cheese factory, and hire the mouse as the quality supervisor.
