媒體路路通英文原文
新聞1 An American researcher and entrepreneur, Greg Olsen is set to be the third paying visitor to the International Space Station, where he hopes to conduct research as well as enjoy the view.
Greg Olsen, a 58-year-old scientist and CEO, plans to ride a Russian Soyuz to the ISS in April 2005.
Olsen first began planning a space trip in June 2003, months after the Feb. 1 Columbia accident in which several astronauts died.
“Life itself is a risk, in any type of exploration, and I just don't think about it,” Olsen said. “I'm just really eager to go.”
Olsen is paying $20 million for the space trip.
Olsen said he hopes his voyage will encourage some of today's youth to pursue careers in science and engineering.

新聞2 Astronomers revealed on Monday the existence of a planetoid, the most distant celestial body discovered in our solar system. It is over 8 billion miles from the sun (compared with the Earth’s 93 million miles),and the temperature of the planet drops as low as 440 degrees below zero.
The planetoid is named "Sedna," which is the name of the sea goddess in Inuit mythology who lives at the bottom of the Arctic Ocean - a suitably chilly place, the astronomers said, to inspire the name of their discovery.
Sedna isn't a planet, Brown says, because it's too small (Earth's moon is about twice as big).
A year on Sedna lasts 10,500 Earth years.

Armstrong is on the moon.
Neil Armstrong, 38 year-old American,
standing on the surface of the moon,
on this July 20th, 1969.
This is one small step for a man,
one giant leap for mankind.
Well, folks, let’s head on down
to the Lunar Excursion Module.
Follow me.
Now, when we get ready
to land on the moon,
Fred Haise and I will float
through this access tunnel

Well, folks, as you can tell,
the Aquarius isn’t much bigger
than a couple of telephone booths.
The skin of the LEM
in some places is only
as thick as a couple of
layers of tinfoil,
and that’s all that protects us
from the vacuum of space.
