Nepal's Foreign Minister, Su-jata Koi-rala has met with India's Trade Minister Anand Sharma in New Delhi. The Nepalese leader is seeking support from India in its peace process and tackling terrorism.

Koirala is on a five-day visit to India. Ways to prevent cross border terrorism, border encroachment, cooperation in hydropower, boosting trade ties and reviewing the 1950 India-Nepal friendship treaty are expected to be top on her agenda.

Sujata Koirala, Nepal's Foreign Minister, said, "We are taking peace process forward and framing a new Constitution and for that we seek India's assistance. Along with India we will tackle the increasing terrorism and security issue as they are of mutual concern."

Nepal's Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal is also scheduled to visit India this month.

India sells Nepal all its oil requirements and the Himalayan nation's imports and exports transit through Indian ports. Nepal also takes raw materials and skilled labor from India.

The neighbors signed a treaty in 1996, which allows Nepalese products zero duty access into India.
