South Korea's Yonhap News Agency has quoted a report from an anonymous source, that Democratic People's Republic of Korea test fired two additional missiles off its east coast on Monday.
The launch came after the country fired a short-range missile off its east coast base around noon. The DPRK also announced it conducted a nuclear test on Monday morning.
The DPRK's official news agency, KCNA, released a statement on the nuclear test, saying it was "part of the measures to bolster its nuclear deterrent for self-defense in every way, as requested by its scientists and technicians." The brief statement did not give any details of the test.
