The Democratic People's Republic of Korea says it has successfully conducted another nuclear test.

The Korean Central News Agency reports the test was carried out on Monday.

South Korean president Lee Myung-bak has called an emergency National Security Council meeting to confirm whether there was a nuclear test in the DPRK.
