South Korea and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea will hold talks at the Kaesong Joint Industrial Park on Thursday.
The announcement of the meeting comes as the DPRK offered to hold additional government-level talks after recent meetings on changes to contract terms, wages and land use fees failed.
South Korea's Unification Ministry Spokesman Chun Hae-sung said the Seoul government will send about a dozen officials to take part in the upcoming talks, adding his country is neither optimistic nor pessimistic about the outcome.
During the last governmental talks on April 21st, which lasted only 22 minutes, the two sides presented their stances on the operation of Kaesong's inter-Korean industrial complex but failed to conduct in-depth discussion.
