US Secretary of State Hilary Clinton met her South Korean counterpart Yu Myung-Hwan Friday in Washington. Both sides expressed concerns over the situation in the Korean peninsula following the DPRK's recent nuclear test.

Emerging from the talks, Clinton told reporters that diplomats were making progress at the United Nations on new resolution on the DPRK. Closed-door meetings have been held since May 26. Also on Friday, key nations sent a draft UN resolution to their governments. But UN diplomats stressed that the text was not final and was still being negotiated.
