Zhao Bin

Zhao Bin graduated from the Department of English Language and Literature, Peking University. She then became a MA student in the Department of Journalism, Renmin University. She was awarded Sino-British Friendship Scholarship in 1987 and went to the UK to pursue a doctorate degree. She got her Ph.D. in social sciences in Loughborough University.

Upon graduation, she taught in several British universities, including School of Journalism, Media and Cultural Studies of Cardiff University. She returned to China in 1997 and did her post-doctorate research in the Institute of Sociology and Anthropology of Peking University.
