The murals were found on the walls of a tomb unearthed this March in the local Hancheng City. The ancient tomb contains a bed made of hard wood and bricks. The murals are in bold colors and pristine condition. They depict a man holding Chinese herbs, and another holding Taiping Royal Prescriptions, the most famous Song Dynasty medicine book. The scene will allow scientists to date the tomb to the later period in the Northern Song Dynasty, around 900 years from now.
