5.2-magnitude quake hits northwest Pakistan

A 5.2 magnitude earthquake has hit northwest Pakistan's Mansehra district. There have been no initial reports of damage or injuries. The quake struck shortly after midnight Monday morning.

The epicenter was near Balakot, a town in the Mansehra district of North West Frontier Province. The quake was felt 138 kilometers away in the capital Islamabad. Tremors also hit Mardan, Swabi and other areas in the North West Frontier Province.
