The up-coming visit to Beijing by Indian prime minister Atal Behari Vajpayee is view as the latest confidence building effort. India is the first non-socialist country that established the diplomatic ties with China and both governments worked very closely in the mid 1950s to formulate the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence.

Join us in the program are Mr. Shivshankar Menon, Indian ambassador to China and Mr. Cheng Ruisheng, former Chinese ambassador to India.
