H5N1 outbreaks confirmed in two Chinese provinces

China has confirmed two previously suspected outbreaks of the H5N1 virus in Western China. The National Avian Influenza Reference Laboratory reported infections in Huayin City in Shaanxi Province, and Anning City in Yunnan Province.

China also announced on Friday the country has no suspected or confirmed human infections.
