Bird flu discovered on Canadian farm

An outbreak of avian influenza has been discovered in Canada's western province of British Columbia. Canadian health authorities say the outbreak, on an undisclosed chicken farm, was caused by an H7 influenza subtype, different to the form currently sweeping poultry stocks in Asia.
