Yunnan acts to prevent bird flu

Southwest China's Yunnan Province has implemented strict measures to prevent the bird flu from crossing the border from Vietnam.

Local health authorities say that so far the disease has not been detected in the province. At the same time, Yunnan's quarantine bureau has asked all its branches to stop approving poultry import applications from Vietnam.
