China's Ministry of Health revealed on Saturday that the Southern Province of Guangdong has reported a suspected case of SARS. Further medical checks are being conducted on the patient to determine whether or not he is infected with the corona-virus.
According to the Ministry, Guangdong health authorities have quarantined everyone who has been in contact with the 32-year-old patient. This is the first suspected SARS case found in Guangdong since the World Health Organization lifted their travel advisory against the province on May 23. The WHO says the suspected SARS patient had not traveled to Hong Kong or abroad.
