Russia says it is "very alarmed" by Iran's failure to cooperate with the IAEA. The Foreign Ministry said Friday that talks on a sanctions resolution could start soon.

Meanwhile, the ministry also said Moscow would honor a contract to deliver S-300 air defense systems to Iran and cautioned against politicizing the deal.

Iran struck an agreement with Russia on buying S-300 systems several years ago, but Russia has delayed the supply of the anti-aircraft missiles.
