8 killed in blast in Pakistan's Karachi

ISLAMABAD, Jan. 8 (Xinhua) -- At least eight people were killed in an explosion at a house in south Pakistan's Karachi on Friday, local media reported.

At least eight people were killed in an explosion at a house near Babri mosque in Baldia Town, police source said.

Hand grenades and other explosives were also found from the house.

Rescue teams have been sent to the site of the blast and the injured are being shifted to hospitals.
