At least 12 people, including four security men and eight civilians have been killed and 15 injured as twin bomb blasts ripped through an army area in the central Pakistani city of Multan.
The blast occurred near the office of spy agency ISI and an army school at Qasim Bela area in Multan at around 12 pm local time. Several school children and women were among the injured. It should be mentioned that the blast occurred in the constituency of Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani.
No group claimed responsibility for the attack.Witnesses said that the army cordoned off the area and stopped TV cameramen from approaching the area due to the sensitivity of the area. The bomb disposal squad said that up to 16 kilogram explosive material was used in the blast.
