PYONGYANG, Sept. 25 (Xinhua) -- The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) reported Friday on the achievements of an economy-boosting "150-day campaign," according to the country's official KCNA news.
The report said the overall production target had been overfulfilled by 12 percent during the "150-day campaign" which started on April 20.
The production in industrial sectors increased by 1.2 times compared with the same period of last year, while the coal output increased by 1.5 times with 1,200 new coal mines developed and railway sector overfulfilled its transportation plan by 18 percent.
Agriculture also got a "bumper crop" with the support of the whole country, the report said.
The period also witnessed promotion of science and technology, with the launch of a satellite and more than 9,000 technical innovations.
Literary and art works were also prosperous during this period, according to the report.
