PYONGYANG, Sept. 23 (Xinhua) -- Kim Yong Nam, top legislator of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), met with a delegation from the People's Daily of China on Wednesday.
Kim said that, no matter how the international situation changed, the strengthened and developed DPRK-China relations not only accorded with the interests of the two peoples, but also contributed to the peace, stability and development of the region and the world.

Kim, president of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly, said the visit by the Chinese newspaper would further improve the friendship between their two countries.
Noting that the China-DPRK friendship was forged by the older generations of the two countries, Zhang Yannong, president of the People's Daily, vowed to continue consolidating and developing the friendship between the two countries.
The Chinese delegation arrived here on Monday at the invitation of DPRK's Rodong Sinmun daily.
