India reiterates dissatisfaction over Pakistan inaction against Mumbai attackers

NEW DELHI, Sept. 2 (Xinhua) -- India has reiterated its dissatisfaction over Pakistan's inaction in bringing the perpetrators of Mumbai terror attacks to justice, saying Islamabad is "not serious" about the issue.

"Pakistan is not serious about prosecuting and punishing those responsible for perpetrating the Mumbai attack. They are still in Pakistani soil. That is my complaint against Pakistan and that is my disappointment with Pakistan," Indian Home Minister P. Chidambaram told the media Tuesday in the national capital.

Claiming that Pakistan may ask for more evidence on the six dossiers New Delhi has so far handed over to Islamabad, containing evidence against those responsible for the Mumbai attacks, including alleged mastermind Jamaat-ud-Dawa chief Hafiz Saeed, the Home Minister said: "I hope that they will not be able to invent more questions."

Chidambaram's statement came barely three days after Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh made it clear that there would not be resumption of bilateral composite dialogue with Pakistan, unless it takes action against the Mumbai attackers.

India says Pakistan has been delaying its response to the six dossiers, containing evidence against those responsible for Mumbai terror attacks on November 26 last year, which it has handed over to Islamabad in the past months.
