The new Tianjin Olympic Center Stadium has passed its first complete test by hosting a warm up match between Australia and China. The stadium will play host to the preliminary football matches during the 2008 Olympic Games.

The match was exciting, but football fans swarmed into the stadium to get a glimpse of the brand new stadium as much as for the match.

A total of 185 million US dollars was invested in the Tianjin Olympic Center Stadium. And fans watching the warm-up match had an opportunity to directly experience the excitement and buzz of the Olympic atmosphere.

A football fan said, "It's a nice place to enjoy a football match since the venue is equipped with modern facilities. But it's not easy to get here and shopping is limited."
