Special Report: World tackles A/H1N1 flu |
The Health Ministry has reported 10 new confirmed cases of A/H1N1 flu, bringing the total number in the Chinese mainland to 49. The eastern province of Fujian reported three new cases on Tuesday evening.
These three cases involve a 28-year-old Chinese woman and two Chinese American girls, all from New York. The two Chinese American girls are sisters of a 9-year-old girl who was confirmed as a A/H1N1 flu patient on Monday. The other new cases in the Chinese mainland, two each in Beijing and Shanghai. And one each in Guangdong, Hubei and Henan.
Meanwhile, Hong Kong confirmed another three cases on Tuesday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the region to 26. Taiwan health authorities also reported one new case, bringing the island's total to 14.
