Special Report:   2008 European Championships

VIENNA, June 26 (Xinhua) -- German coach Joachim Loew was cautious towards the upcoming Euro 2008 final between Germany and Spain, saying on Thursday that the Spaniards are "unpredictable".

On Thurday, Spain swept Russia 3-0 in the second Euro 2008 semifinal here in Vienna, and Loew watched the game on TV together with assistant coach Hans-Dieter Flick, goalkeeper coach Andreas Koepke and national team manager Oliver Bierhoff.

"The Spaniards have offered an impressive achievement. Throughout the tournament they have played a high level and were technically strong," Loew said after the match.

"Compared to the Portuguese, they play variable, and midfield players constantly switch positions and push into the top. This makes them unpredictable," he added.

Germany beat Portugal, which boast similar play style to Spain, in the quarter-final. On June 29, three-time European title winner Germany will compete with Spain in Vienna to take the fourth one.
