China thrash New Zealand 93-63
Wang Zhizhi came back just recovering from an injury. China had suffered two consecutive losses without their key player.
New Zealand had high moral as they just upset Slovenia on Tuesday.
China got off a flying start in the game. Young talent Yi Jianlian led the team with a 21-point first-quarter lead.
China took advantage of their home advantage and enlarged the gap to 22 point before the interval.
China once had a 30-point advantage in the second half, but their opponents tried their best to narrow the gap. China was leading New Zealand 66-48 into the last quarter.
China never looked back, ending the game with a convincing 93-63 win. They will face the NBA Development League team on Thursday.
Angola suffer first loss
Earlier on Wednesday, the NBA Development League team defeated Angola 85-72.
Angola took the lead at the start, but the Ambassadors took advantage of their quick speed, narrowed the gap, and surpassed their opponents.
Angola attempted a comeback in the second quarter, but the Ambassadors was still better and led the first half 46-28.
The Ambassadors never ceded their lead in the second half, finally winning the game at 85-72.
It's Angola's first loss in the six-team round-robin tournament.
