The Philippines have beaten China 79-74 at the 2007 Asian men's basketball championship in Japan.

China fielded their second team in the tournament on Sunday. Defending champions China had a good beginning and were ahead of the Filipinos during the closing of the first half.

However, the Philippine team found their form and bounced back in the second half with Mark Caguios and Kelly Williams leading the pack and finally taking the match 79-74.
