The patient is a 19-year-old student returning from the United States. She took Cathay Pacific Airways flight CX-831 from New York on Monday. That's the same flight as Taiwan's first confirmed A/H1N1-infected patient. The most recent Hong Kong patient developed fever symptoms on Friday. She is now being treated in isolation at Princess Margaret Hospital.

The spokesman for the S.A.R.'s Department of Health says the patient's parents are scheduled to have a check-up at the hospital. Related health departments have begun tracking down people the student was in close contact with. It is still unclear where she contracted the A/H1N1 flu.
