An evening gala hit the airwaves across Tibet on Tuesday night. The show is regarded as of equal importance for Tibetans as the CCTV Spring Festival Gala for audiences nationwide.

Over eight hundred performers and staff put together to the four-hour spectacular. Tibetan cross talk artists bantered with their counterparts from both home and abroad to entertaining viewers.

Canadian Mark Rowswell, also known as Da Shan, even wished everyone happy new year in Tibetan, followed by a message in putonghua.
