For people living in the Inner Mongolian Autonomous Region, the most celebrated occasion is a wedding. And the best-loved appellation is wine. Now, a glimpse of the Mongolian lifestyle, viewed at wedding celebration, made merry with wine.

The wedding ceremony proceeds at the foot of Yinshan Mountain. The bride's long hair is braided. The entwined braids symbolize marital relationship. Keys and spoons are given to the newly-weds by their parents: symbols that the bride and groom now are to take full charge of their household. When the ceremonial rites are complete, the wedding party and their guests celebrate with the less formal rite of drinking wine.
