Hong Kong also confirmed another three A/H1N1 cases on Saturday, taking the number of confirmed cases in the city to 23.

Meanwhile, no new cases were reported in Taiwan on Saturday. The total number of the confirmed cases on the island is still 11. Nine of them have recovered and were released from hospital. Local disease control authorities are adjusting preventive measures and lowering the epidemic alert level.

The main focus of preventive measures will now be stopping infections in communities, rather than on the borders. Authorities say the World Health Organization has not raised its alert to the highest level, six, and there is now a trend towards lowering the level of alert. Two elementary schools in Taipei that closed because of the flu will be back to normal on Monday.
