Special Report: World tackles A/H1N1 flu |

Hong Kong health officials are reminding the public to help prevent a possible wide ranging break-out of the A/H1N1 virus in the Special Administrative Region. This comes after a meeting between Hong Kong health officials and Hong Kong practitioners of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

The practitioners say they support the government's flu protection action and will strengthen cooperation in the region.

Some say they will help by distributing masks, sterilized items and tea with traditional Chinese medicine.

Under-Secretary for Food and Health, Gabriel Leung, said although Hong Kong's three flu cases originated in countries abroad, Hong Kong would likely discover local cases. He called on the public to take basic measures to protect themselves from the disease. Leung said Hong Kong will close schools if new cases there are found.

Hong Kong health officials are searching for people who came into close contact with the man in Guangdong province, who is suspected of flu positive. Earlier, he spent two nights at a hotel in Hong Kong.

People who came into close contact with Hong Kong's second confirmed person are all in good conditions. Their isolations have been removed.
