Special Report: World tackles A/H1N1 flu |

The young student who was confirmed as the third case of A/H1-N1 flu on the Chinese mainland is recovering in Beijing. Her temperature has returned normal.

The 18-year-old female, surnamed Liu, is the first confirmed case in Beijing. She's being treated at Beijing Ditan hospital.

Miss Liu, first confirmed case in Beijing, said, "I feel all right now, much better. I rarely feel uncomfortable. I'm not afraid. I think it's just a new type of flu, not some horrible virus. There's no reported case in the city where I used to live, but there are confirmed cases in the country. "

The Beijing native arrived home from New York state of the United States last Monday. Two days later, she felt unwell. She was confirmed with AH1-N1 Saturday evening.

Liu did not go out or meet friends after arriving home. The only two people she's had contact with are her mother and the taxi driver who took her to hospital. Both are under medical observation and neither has shown any symptoms.

The Beijing health authority is asking returning students to remain in isolation for seven days meeting friends in public places. It's also asked parents to keep track of the students' trip-related information, just in case.
