The forum put forward 6 proposals to promote cooperation across the Taiwan Strait.

According to the proposals, mainland and Taiwan will strengthen culture communications and cooperation, joining hands to promote Chinese culture. It calls on cultural institutions on both sides to enhance conservation of cultural relics.

The two sides will also deepen cooperation in the cultural industry, such as media, music, and movies, in an effort to strengthen the industry's international competitiveness. They will join hands in setting up criteria for the industry and stepping up protection for intellectual property rights.

The proposal also encourages and supports intercollegiate communications and cooperation between mainland and Taiwan universities, such as student exchange programs and recognition of credits.
