Special Report:   G20 Summit in London

The meeting between Chinese President Hu Jintao and the US president Obama is seen as the highlight ahead of the G20 summit. After their talks, Barack Obama praised the US-Sino relationship. He says their strong economic ties will ground a solid foundation for world economic recovery. Obama has accepted an invitation to visit China sometime in the second half of the year. The two leaders have also agreed to intensify coordination and cooperation on global economic and financial issues.

US president Barack Obama says, "the relationship between the United States and China has become extremely constructive. Our economic relationships are very strong. And I have said publicly and I continue to believe that the relationship between China and the United States is not only important to the citizens of both our countries but will help to set the stage for how the world deals with a whole host of challenges in the years to come."
