Train stations across China have seen an early travel rush, as millions of people book tickets to return home for the Spring Festival. Although the official holiday is still 3 weeks away, millions have already lined up at railway stations across the nation to buy tickets.

Train stations across China have seen an early travel  rush.

Guangzhou Station sold 470,000 tickets on Friday and Saturday, while Chengdu saw sales of 70,000 on Saturday alone. The Lunar New Year travel

period, or Chun Yun, lasts from January 11th to February 19th. And the Ministry of Railways estimates the country's railways will see close to 188 million journeys during that time.
