China is Sweden's largest trade partner in Asia. Wen Jiabao said enhancing bilateral cooperation is in the fundamental interests of the two countries and is conducive to promoting the China-EU strategic partnership.

Their talks were followed by a signing ceremony for a number of agreements between Sweden and China. The biggest deal was Ericsson's contracts with Chinese mobile operators China Mobile and China Unicom, worth a total of 1.44 billion US dollars.
