Chinese mainland, Taiwan achieve great
progress in relations

Taiwan is China´ largest island and forms an integral whole with the mainland. Relations between the Chinese mainland and Taiwan have improved a lot since the historic meeting between leaders of the Communist Party of China and the Kuomintang in May 2008.
A series of economic stimulus plans put forward by the mainland has brought to the Taiwan businessmen direct benefits and market confidence. The cross-strait tourism industry circles has kept in close cooperation, and actively and steadily pushed forward the mainland residents to travel in Taiwan.
The cross-strait exchange and cooperation has entered a brand new era featuring mutually and two-way interaction.
