In the western part of Sichuan Province, the Qionglai Mountains run north and south. Every March, the snow melts and flowers bloom. However, something terrible happened in March 1983. They were worried about the forest because of the Pandas that live on Bashania fangiana on the mountain.

Episode II

In the northern suburbs of Chengdu is a grove of bamboo. Over 60 pandas have been living there. For 30 years, pandas have been born between summer and autumn.
Episode III

Hu´niu is a wild female panda that’s six years old, living in the deep forest of Qinling. She is mature and well-developed. It’s the estrous period for pandas, which occurs every year from March to April. Recently, Hu’niu appeared restless and walked around looking for a male panda that she likes.
Episode IV

In a narrow cave on the south slope of the Qinling Mountains, a female panda Qinya was born. She still hasn’t opened her eyes. She looks quite small in her mother’s arms. Little Qinya cries loudly, afraid of being crushed by her mother. It will take two years for Qinya to grow. She will face numerous difficulties and hardships.

Zhang Chun´guang, a professor at the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, has been conducting ichthyological research since the 1980s. In April 2001, he was invited to the natural pits in Le Ye, Guangxi province, where he found this skeleton in the wild. Is this the skull of a giant panda?
